Outperform: We are establishing a system of planning, investment and incentives that is aimed at making us the best in the respective market – in terms of growth and profitability as well as customer and employee satisfaction. We will be able to stand up to both traditional competitors and new ones, such as insurtech and fintech companies.

Transform: We have a clear view of what we want Allianz to look like in the future: simple, digital and scalable.

Rebalance: We have a clear view of where we want to grow, both geographically and in terms of new business lines.

Story of Allianz-Tiriac

History

1994: The company Asigurari Ion Tiriac (ASIT) is founded, under the leadership of Cristian Constantinescu. Starting from scratch, but with a solid team of professionals, the company quickly established itself at the top of the ranking of insurance companies in Romania.

2000: The German group Allianz, the largest insurer in Europe, acquires the majority stake of ASIT - Asigurari Ion Tiriac. This is how the Allianz-Tiriac brand appears.

2001: Allianz-Tiriac expands its area of ​​expertise and launches life insurance.

2003: Allianz-Tiriac becomes the leader of the consolidated insurance market in Romania, with a market share of 19.4%.

2007: Allianz-Tiriac expands its operations on the private pensions market, being the first company to obtain the approval of the authorities for the launch of the private pensions division.

2009: The diversification of the portfolio continues, by introducing health insurance in the offer.

2014: The complete digital car damage assessment service is being implemented, Allianz-Tiriac being the first insurer to introduce such a system.

2015: Allianz-Tiriac launches the Allianz-Tiriac Mobile mobile application, being among the first insurers in Romania to offer digital services.

2019: The first simplified products are introduced - MyCar and My Home - which allow the customer to choose more easily according to the needs of protection and budget. Life Help is launched - life insurance for serious illnesses.

Our commitment 

We at Allianz-Tiriac believe that it is important to have a diverse and inclusive workforce. Employing people from different backgrounds and making them feel included is, in our view, a major driving force behind the success of our global company.
 
Allianz-Tiriac carries out measures to promote inclusion and has a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and harassment. This is measured annually in our employee engagement survey.
 
Allianz SE’s Global Diversity Council ensures the implementation of a diversity strategy in all Allianz entities to meet Allianz’s commitment to inclusion. The council is chaired by Niran Peiris, Allianz SE board member and also the sponsor of issues relating to Diversity and Inclusion. The council has been in place since 2007.
 
The Global diversity Council monitors Diversity and Inclusion plans and how these are implemented by various Allianz companies. The Group Head of Diversity helps to coordinate the various programs and sees to it that they are in line with Allianz goals.

Our workplace diversity

We are a global leader with a mix of nationalities among our leaders and employees. In Allianz Group our Executives have 61 different nationalities and 57% of our leadership is not from Germany. We have employees of 67 different nationalities at our global headquarters in Munich.
We have employees of all age groups; the average age is 40.6.
Women make up 51% of our workforce and 38% of our managers globally. We are committed to building up a talent pool of women systematically at all executive levels.
We promote an open minded work environment through our employee LGBT network Allianz Pride.
