Allianz-Tiriac management Board

CEO

Virgil joined Allianz-Tiriac team in 2001 as trainer and shortly afterwards became director of the training department. After 3 years coordinating the training of Allianz-Tiriac teams, he moved to the sales area. In 2006, he was co-opted into the Allianz team in Germany, and for four years he led organizational transformation programs in Allianz Group companies in over 20 countries. In 2013 he returned to Allianz-Tiriac as Board Management member and in 2016 took over the CEO role.

Virgil has a bachelor's degree in Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics from the Faculty of Economics at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Adriana has been part of the Allianz-Țiriac team since 2017, when she took on the role of Director of the Financial Actuarial Department. After just two years, she joined the Allianz-Țiriac Board as Chief Financial Officer, and since November 2019 she has held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Previously, she coordinated various teams and projects within Ernst & Young and PwC, and led the Actuarial Services and Market Analysis department within the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF).

Adriana is a graduate of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, holding degrees in Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchanges, as well as in Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics. She is a full member of ACCA, the world's leading global organization for accounting professionals, as well as a full member of the Romanian Actuarial Association (ARA).

Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Codruța joined the Allianz-Țiriac team on July 1, 2021, as Sales and Distribution Director, and since October 2025 she has also taken on the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Previously, she led the operations in Romania and the Republic of Moldova of Allianz Partners, the Allianz Group division specialized in providing insurance assistance services and specialty insurance lines, in the role of Country Manager. Codruța has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with most of her professional career built in the banking sector, where she held management positions in sales.

Codruța holds a double specialization in Finance and Banking and Marketing from Transilvania University of Brașov and completed a master’s program in business at the same university. She also holds several additional management certifications.

Technical Director

Aurel has been part of the Allianz-Țiriac team since 1995, progressing through all stages of development within the company with great dedication and ambition. He has extensive expertise in insurance, having been responsible over time for underwriting, large client sales, and claims management. Since 2013, Aurel has been leading the Technical Division of Allianz-Țiriac, and between March 2019 and October 2025 he also held the role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Aurel is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanics at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and holds an MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Director Direcție Operațiuni

Daniela Covăcescu, un profesionist cu peste 20 de experiență în domeniul financiar-bancar, s-a alăturat echipei Allianz-Țiriac la 1 septembrie 2021 ca Director de Operațiuni. Din acest rol, Daniela coordonează activitățile diviziilor de daune, IT și back-office și o echipă de aproximativ 400 de specialiști.

Daniela a absolvit Facultatea de Comerț din cadrul Academiei de Studii Economice, precum și un program de leadership development în cadrul IEDC-Bled School of Management.
