The covered risks covered are divided into three conditions:

  • Condition A: all risks, except specific exclusions (eg usual loss, delays, insufficient or improper packaging, etc.)
  • Condition B: loss or damage to insured property caused by various factors: fire, explosion, failure / sinking / overturning of the ship or boat, overturning / derailment of land transport, collision / contact of the ship, boat or means of transport with any external object, other than water, etc.
  • Condition C: loss or damage to insured property caused by various factors: fire, explosion, stranding / sinking / overturning of the ship or vessel, overturning / derailment of land transport, collision / contact of the ship, vessel or means of transport with any external object, other than water, unloading goods in a port of refuge in case of danger / emergency, sacrifice in case of common damage, throwing overboard.

In case of damage, the insured / recipient of the goods and / or agents will take all measures to limit and reduce the damages and will retain the recourse right of Allianz-Tiriac against carrier, the depositories and other third parties.

Expressly, the insured / recipient of the goods and / or their agents will meet the following requirements:

  • They will report any shortage of goods insured to carrier / port authorities / depositories
  • In no case, except for the reservation made in writing, will they sign documents for receipt of the goods, where the insured goods are in a suspicious condition.
  • If the delivery of the insured goods has been containerized, they will be ensured if the container and its seal are immediately inspected by an official person. If the container has been delivered damaged or with broken, missing or other seals than those entered in the transport documents, they will make the appropriate entries in the goods receipt documents and will retain all inappropriate seals for further identification.
  • They will immediately submit a request for the inspection by the representatives of carrier / depositories if the loss or damage is obvious and will report to carrier/ depositories any loss or damage found during the inspection.
  • They will notify in writing the carrier / depositories within maximum 3 days from the receipt of the insured goods, when the loss / damage was not obvious upon their receipt.
